October 14th, 20086 Free Quality Drupal Themes
Ok so we’ve all seen Wordpress theme lists or a list for Joomla themes but I have yet to see a one for drupal! even though drupal was voted best overall CMS in 07 and runners up in 06 it’s so hard to find any decent quality themes today.
Things are slowly changing though and hopefully with Drupal.org redesign officially under way theme designers will be encouraged to create drupal themes that truly show drupal’s potential.
For now here is a list of the best free quality drupal themes that you might want to consider for your next drupal site.
Btw for those who don’t know what drupal can do check out some examples at this drupal showcase site.
Agregado - Drupal 6.X, Live Demo
Originally designed by Darren Hoyt and Matt Dawson for WordPress and commissioned by the folks at Smashing Magazine and ported to drupal by KahThong.com
Acquia Marina - Drupal 6.X
Awesome theme developed by TopNotchThemes in partnership with Acquia. Unfortnantly no live demo avrailable right now.
dfTheme 2.0 for Drupal - Drupal 5.X, Live Demo
Three column layout by deziner Folio converted to Drupal.
Alek 2.0 - Drupal 6.X and 5.X
Theme contribution by SEOposition.com, has a three-column (Content | Left Sidebar | Right Sidebar).
Sky theme - Drupal 6.X and 5.X, Live Demo
100% Fluid drupal theme, CSS-based (no tables), multi-column.
Scruffy - Drupal 6.X, Live Demo
Scruffy is a grungy, two-column blog theme originally designed for Wordpress by Cobus Bester. The Drupal port preserves the same fundamental layout, with minor tweaks to work with non-node pages, Drupal status messages, and so on.

Hi Admin,
I’m like you in that I run a few websites but not all are using Drupal, I plan to port more to Drupal, but its quite a bit of work as you can imagine.
Great to see a few free theme’s. Would make for a good starting point when building a website.
Theme development is quite difficult in Drupal prior to version 6. Especially when it comes to understanding themeing views and CCK.
The Devel module in Drupal 6 looks great, but I’m using Drupal 5 for now.
Thanks again for the free templates and links :).
